Practice Writing a LifeCall Statement

In the Younique book, I offer some helpful tips for how to craft a LifeCall statement. The first thing I recommend is to practice by writing someone else's LifeCall.

I reference the video below, which is Johnny Georges' appearance on Shark Tank to talk about his "Tree T-Pee." In this short video, you'll get a pretty clear understanding of WHAT Johnny feels called to do and WHY he thinks it's so important.

After watching the video, write down a few versions of Johnny's LifeCall in six to twelve words. Once you've had that practice, go through the same process for yourself. You'll probably find crafting your LifeCall is much easier after practicing on someone else.

  • Notice the points where Johnny becomes especially passionate. These are clues to WHY he is invested in the Tree T-Pee.
  • Notice the points where Johnny becomes confused by some of the questions being asked. It's almost like they don't compute. What does that indicate about his values and his purpose?
  • Finally, what can we learn from Johnny's story about "trespassing" to put 5 Tree T-Pees on a farmer's land?

When you think or talk to others about your LifeCall, in what specific areas does your passion naturally grow? What are some stories about specific moments in your life where you felt most alive and most connected to your purpose?

My hope is that by learning to listen and articulate someone else's LifeCall, you will be more tuned in to the key indicators of your own purpose and passion.
