On vacation in Knoxville, I was sitting out by my parents pool with the kids. Earlier that day, my mother and two sons were playing their horns to some of my grandfathers favorite hymns. One of his favorites is "Rise Up O Men of God." During lunch they said that one of the lines in the hymn reminded them of me. The line goes, "Rise up o men of God! The Church for you doth wait, Her strength unequal to her task; Rise up and make her great."
Over four years ago when we started Auxano, we clarified the motives that drive us most deeply as a team. Our third value is "Contagious Passion for the bride of Christ." It made my week to know that my children sense this value in my life.
